This Privacy Policy explains what information PawSpace Living (the “Site,” “we,” “us”) collects when you visit, how it is used, and the choices you have. It describes how the Site works today.
1. Who we are
PawSpace Living is an informational website operated by JBAR GLOBAL LLC. It publishes guides for renters and small-space pet owners in the United States. Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@pawspaceliving.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you send us. The Site has no user accounts or comments. If you sign up for our free guide and emails, we collect your email address and a record of your consent: the box you ticked, and your click on the confirmation link in the email we send you. Our email service provider, Brevo, may also record technical details of the sign-up and confirmation, such as the date, time and IP address. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include, and we use it only to respond to you.
Information collected automatically when you visit.
- Hosting logs. Our web host, Hostinger, automatically records technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested, the referring page, and the date and time. We use this for security, troubleshooting, and operating the Site.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (the Google tag) to understand how visitors use the Site, including which pages are viewed, device and browser information, approximate geographic location, and how visitors found the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as page views, approximate location, and browser and device information. Google uses IP addresses during data collection, including to derive approximate geographic information and operate the service. Google states that raw IP addresses are discarded after use and are not logged or stored in Google Analytics. How Google uses information from sites that use its services is described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Links we share on other platforms, such as Pinterest, may include tracking tags (for example utm_source=pinterest) in the web address. Google Analytics reads these tags so we can see which campaign brought a visit.
We use this information in aggregate to improve our content. We do not use it to identify you personally.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. Today the Site uses:
- Google Analytics cookies. First-party cookies named
_gaand_ga_followed by an identifier. They are set when you visit the Site and are used to measure visits and usage. - Technical cookies. During our current-site check for an ordinary logged-out visitor, we observed the Google Analytics cookies described above. WordPress may also use technical cookies in certain circumstances, including administrator sign-in.
We do not currently set advertising cookies of our own, and the Site does not currently display advertisements. The Site’s pages contain a Google AdSense site-verification tag, which only identifies the site to Google; no advertising code is installed. We do not use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, a Pinterest tag, or other advertising pixels on the Site. Some pages contain affiliate links to Amazon (see section 5). If you click one, you leave our Site, and Amazon may set cookies or use similar technologies on its own website to record that you came from our link. Those cookies are controlled by Amazon, not by us.
If you click a link in one of our emails, the link first passes through Brevo’s servers, which record the click, and then opens our Site. Google Analytics may read campaign tags such as utm_source in the web address.
Your choices. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits by installing Google’s opt-out browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We are working on implementing appropriate consent controls where required and will update this policy as the Site’s data practices change.
4. Third-party services used by the Site
When your browser loads the Site, these providers may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser type:
- Google Analytics / Google tag (analytics)
- Google Fonts (the Site loads its typefaces from fonts.googleapis.com)
- Hostinger (web hosting)
- WordPress.org (emoji images may be loaded from s.w.org)
- Amazon (only if you click an Amazon affiliate link; see section 5)
- Brevo (email list and email delivery, only if you subscribe to our emails; see section 6)
If you arrive from a link on another platform such as Pinterest, that platform’s own privacy practices apply to your activity there. Articles link to other websites that we cite as sources. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.
5. Affiliate links and advertising
Amazon Associates. PawSpace Living participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Links to Amazon products on this Site carry our Associates tracking ID, so Amazon can tell that a visit came from the Site. If you buy through one of these links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We mark these links as sponsored. Amazon’s use of your information is governed by Amazon’s own privacy notice, not this policy. Product availability and listing details change; check the Amazon page before you buy. More detail is on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
Other affiliate programs. We may join other affiliate programs in the future. If we do, we will update this policy and our Affiliate Disclosure page.
Advertising. The Site does not currently display advertisements. If we later add an advertising service such as Google AdSense, we will update this policy before ads go live, describe the cookies and technologies involved, and provide any consent and opt-out controls required by law.
6. Email subscriptions
What you sign up for. You can ask for our free guide, “7 Apartment Pet Cleaning Tricks,” by entering your email address and ticking a box that says you want the guide and occasional PawSpace Living pet-care emails. We use double opt-in: we add you to our email list only after you click the confirmation link in the email we send you. If you do not confirm, you are not subscribed and we will not send you marketing emails.
What we send. After you confirm, we send the guide, then two more short welcome emails about 3 and 7 days after you confirm, and then occasional emails with pet-care and apartment-living guides. Some emails link to articles that contain labeled Amazon affiliate links. We do not sell or rent your email address.
Our email provider. We use Brevo to store our email list and send our emails. Brevo handles your email address on our behalf, under its own terms and privacy policy. Brevo states that it may transfer data outside the European Economic Area, including to the United States and India. Our emails use tracking that records whether an email was delivered and opened and which links were clicked, so we can see which guides are useful. If you do not want this tracking, you can unsubscribe at any time.
Unsubscribing. Every marketing email has an Unsubscribe link in the footer. One click and a confirmation stops our marketing emails. You can also email hello@pawspaceliving.com. After you unsubscribe we keep your email address marked as unsubscribed, so we do not email you again by mistake.
Withdrawing consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing. This does not affect emails already sent.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Most requests will concern your email subscription or emails you sent us. Email hello@pawspaceliving.com to ask us to access, correct or delete your subscription data. Where you ask us to delete it, we will remove you from our email list; to avoid emailing you again, we may need to keep a minimal record of the opt-out. We will respond within the time required by law. We do not sell personal information for money.
8. Data retention
Hosting logs are kept by Hostinger under its own retention practices. Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings of our Google Analytics property. Emails you send us are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which they were received and for applicable legal, security, or recordkeeping requirements. Your email address and consent record stay on our email list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. After you unsubscribe, we keep the address marked as unsubscribed so we can honor your choice. Brevo keeps data under its own policies.
9. Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Security
We use reasonable measures, including HTTPS, to protect the Site. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
11. International processing
Information collected through the Site, including by Google Analytics, our hosting provider and Brevo, may be processed in the United States and other countries where those providers operate.
12. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when the Site’s features or legal requirements change, and revise the “Last updated” date above.
